SINFT's Stacked Disc Filter Modules Concept

Each module consists of three major components:

  • Filter cells
  • Tubular center core
  • Adapters

Complete Filter System

The module's interface features a double O-ring and bayonet locking structure, enabling quick and easy installation into the filter housing.
Additionally, a flat gasket interface version is also available. Both versions are compatible with the module extraction device:
The flat gasket type achieves extraction via grooves.
The double O-ring type achieves extraction functionality through the bayonet structure.

Up to 21 filter cells can be stacked on a central core and compressed into a single, sealed module. This innovative design guarantees reliable sealing between cells even in the dry state, eliminating the need for re-tightening after wetting, and providing consistent, leak-free performance throughout operation.

Key Advantages

Superior Integration and Compatibility:

The depth filter sheets exhibit high mechanical strength, enabling effortless integration into modules; nearly all flat sheet format grades are compatible with this module, facilitating a seamless transition from open sheet systems to closed module systems.

High-Efficiency Filtration Performance:

It offers a system design akin to filter cartridges, delivering high efficiency and outstanding filtration performance to ensure reliable clarification results across diverse applications.

Economic Advantages:

In many applications, it provides a more cost-effective alternative to filter cartridges, thereby lowering overall operational costs.

Stacked Disc Depth Filter Module SD-Series

Features

There are 13 different retention rate grades (0.1–20 μm), covering the entire range from fine filtration to coarse filtration.

EKSP / EK1 / EK: For microparticle fine filtration
K100–K900: From clarification filtration to coarse filtration

Material Components:

Primarily composed of cellulose, diatomaceous earth (or perlite), and synthetic polymers:
Cellulose forms the filter media skeleton
Diatomaceous earth/perlite provides clarification effects
Polymers provide wet strength and positive zeta potential

Encapsulated Depth Filter Module T- Series

Features

Includes 7 different permeability grades:
T950 is designed specifically for clarification filtration, with positive Zeta potential providing high adsorption capacity;
T1000-T5500 are targeted for coarse filtration, featuring an open structure that offers high dirt-holding capacity.

Advantages

Achieves high throughput over extended filtration cycles, particularly excelling in handling viscous media, gel particles, and retaining coarse dispersions under low differential pressure, thereby enhancing efficiency and stability.

SUPRAcap 200 Depth Filter Module Encapsulated Upgrade Version

The SUPRAcap 200 is an encapsulated upgrade derivative of SINFT's replacement for PALL stacked disc filter modules, featuring a fully enclosed single-use design that addresses cleaning and operational risks associated with traditional modules.

Features

Encapsulation Design:

Utilizes fully enclosed encapsulation with polypropylene material, installed in a specially constructed housing, with only the inlet/outlet ports and pop-out plate in contact with the product; the housing components are detachable, supporting individual cleaning, and significantly reducing cleaning workload.

SUPRAcap Image

Advantages

Safety Enhancement:

Minimizes operator-fluid contact, reduces exposure risks, and facilitates handling of difficult/toxic products.

Efficiency Optimization:

Reduces product hold-up for higher yields; simplifies cleaning to shorten processing times.

Strong Compliance:

Lowers cross-contamination risks, ensuring process stability and high-purity output.

Applications

  • Filtration of toxic products
  • Removal of filter aids
  • Removal of catalysts

SINFT Replacement for PALL Upgrade Series Stacked Disc Filter Modules

Although the SINFT Replacement for PALL Standard Series Stacked Disc Filter Modules is a classic design, it faces limitations such as low capacity and suboptimal stability. The upgraded depth filtration modules thoroughly address these shortcomings, delivering enhanced capacity, superior reliability, and greater ease of handling—ideally suited for food and beverage clarification needs, from beer haze removal to juice polishing, in a streamlined, all-in-one efficiency upgrade.

Design Features

Unique Separator Structure:

The front and rear ends support the filter media, while the outer and inner separators are interlocked and welded together through snap-fit sealing, forming a robust polypropylene cage assembly. The media are completely sealed and fully protected from exposure.

Independent Media Separation:

Each depth filter sheet is individually sealed to prevent contact with others, avoiding blind filtration issues.

Efficient Flow Channel Optimization:

The separator channels ensure nearly 100% effective filtration area and support backflushing systems (support disc + intermediate spacer disc), allowing regeneration with water or product.
